The Original Luna, handmade in Seattle, represents the best fruits of our experiences and experiments with old-school footwear and gleanings from insights that we have gathered from both our ancestors and our customers. It uses a 6mm Vibram neoprene sole (7mm with footbed) that is lightweight, comfortable, and has excellent ground feel. This sandal is great for running or walking on paved surfaces and moderate trails.

Our new MGT (Monkey Grip Technology) footbed maintains the black, low profile, look of the naked top Lunas while improving traction and durability. The 1mm vegan footbed adds reinforcement to the toe and ankle holes without significantly increasing total sole thickness or detracting from ground feel. Lunas with the MGT footbed are more slip resistant on trails and in wet conditions.

They take a lot of adjusting. I've had mine for 2 days with constant adjusting and readjusting and I haven't got it right yet. The heel strap on right foot keeps slipping off. There are some helpful videos on Youtube (it could be I just have odd feet). From the videos, it looks like once you get them adjusted correctly for your feet, you never have to readjust again. For you "gram weenies" the weight of my size 10's are, Right foot= 4.2 oz and left foot= 4.0 oz.. Remember they are handmade and is the likely reason for the .2 oz difference.(they advertise a lighter weight but I suspect it is for a smaller size). The materials look like they are bomb proof, and will last me forever. (I'm not a distance runner. I got these for hiking along the Washington coast)
